Research Progress on Adhesive Hydrogels in Tissue Defect Repair
SHU Hangqi;YU Mengqiu;HE Yulong;WANG Yiyu;ZHAO Kai;The key to repairing tissue defects lies in timely closure of the wound and hemostasis.Traditional clinical approaches including surgical suture, staple suture, etc. are associated with limitations such as the secondary surgical removal, inadequate sealing, susceptibility to scarring, low adhesive strength, and suboptimal biocompatibility.Adhesive hydrogels are three-dimensional polymer network materials, which have developed rapidly in recent years.Due to strong adhesion, excellent biocompatibility, and degradability, adhesive hydrogels have solved the problems existing in traditional clinical approches and promoted the development and application in the field of tissue defect repair. We elaborate the mechanism of adhesion between hydrogel and tissue, including physical, chemical, and mussel-inspired effects. Then, we summarize the research progress of adhesive hydrogels in the defect repair of various tissues such as skin, periodontal, bone, heart, and cornea in recent years. Finally, we analyze the challenges faced by adhesive hydrogels, and put forward prospects for the future development directions.

YOU Lelan;HUANG Xu;CHEN Xiaochen;YANG Xiaoru;WANG Lei;WANG Xinhong;SU Jianqiang; The use of plastic products in industry and daily life has far exceeded that of materials such as wood and steel. With the global understanding of the environmental risks of plastics and the promotion of plastic restriction programs, the use of polyester plastics in production and life has gradually increased because it contains ester bonds that can be hydrolyzed by microorganisms. The microbiological degradation of polyester plastics and the engineering modification and performance improvement of polyester hydrolase are research hotspots in this field. We review the research progress in bacterial degradation of traditional and biodegradable polyesters, analyze and summarize the biodegradability of polyesters, the taxonomic distribution of polyester-degrading bacteria, and the engineering modifications of algorithm-assisted polyester hydrolase, which provides the references for pollution control and recycling of environmental polyester plastics.

XU Xin;BAI Yue;LI Lin;To address the issues of carbon deposition and activity decay in dry reforming of methane(DRM),we characterized the structure of high-entropy alloy Ni-based catalysts(Ni_3MoCoZn)Al12O24 synthesized by hot solvent method, co-precipitation method, ball milling method, and sol-gel method, and compared their DRM reaction catalytic performances. The results show that(Ni_3MoCoZn)Al12O24 catalyst synthesized by sol-gel method has a larger specific surface area(about 118 m2·g-1) and a favorable mesoporous structure(3-4 nm).The catalyst synthesized by sol-gel method has a higher proportion of high-temperature reduction peaks, suggesting it has a stronger metal-support interaction. The catalyst synthesized by sol-gel method exhibits the highest and the most stable conversion rates of CH4 and CO2 at 800 ℃ and GHSV of 36 000 mL·h-1·gcat-1.While, the catalysts synthesized by co-precipitation method and ball milling method show significant deactivation after 20 h.This study provides a experimental evidence for the design, synthesis, and the element regulation of DRM catalyst.

Design,Synthesis, and in vitro Antibacterial Activity of Novel Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs Based on Hydrocarbyl Pyrrole Skeleton
CHEN Dan;WU Ya'ni;XU Li;QIN Fei;LUO Lianzhong;Using hydrocarbyl pyrrole aldehydes as a lead structure, we synthesized 19 novel hydrocarbyl pyrrole derivatives, and characterized their structures by ~1HNMR and 13CNMR.Moreover, we systematically evaluated their in vitro antibacterial activities against the H37Rv(drug-sensitive strain) and the 19-4(drug-resistant strain) of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and explored the action mechanism through molecular docking. The results show that most derivatives exhibit certain inhibitory effects on both the drug-sensitive strain H37Rv and the drug-resistant strain 19-4 within the micromolar concentration range.Among them, derivative Ⅲ14 demonstrates the strongest inhibitory effect on H37Rv(MIC=26.3 μmol·L-1),while derivative Ⅱ12 exhibits antibacterial activity comparable to that of the clinical drug Kanamycin against the drug-resistant strain 19-4.All synthesized hydrocarbyl pyrrole derivatives can stably bind to the target protein MTB-PS,and their comprehensive scores are generally consistent with the trend of in vitro antibacterial activity, indicating that molecular docking prediction has a certain guiding role in early screening.Hydrocarbyl pyrrole derivatives exhibit high anti-tuberculosis activity and potential for structure optimization, providing a structural basis and experimental evidence for the further development of novel anti-tuberculosis drugs.
