Treatment of Wastewater Containing Lead by Ferrite Precipitation

In this paper,the removal of Pb2+from water with ferrite is studied.The effects of pH,temperature,dosage of material,precipitation time have been discussed.The results show that it is effective with ferrite to remove Pb2+ at room temperature with pH 8.

Research Progress of Influence of Impurities on Solution Crystallization

In the process of solution crystallization,impurities have dramatic effects on the status of solution and processes of nucleation,crystal growth and agglomeration,and then exert influences on the crystal growth habit,particle size and particle size distribution.The influence of impurities on crystallization process and properties of products has been reviewed.The effect of impurities on the step growth rate of crystalline surface is analyzed at the microcosmic level.The importance of impurities′ effects on crystallization process,the problems in this field and the future research direction are also discussed.

Density Functional Theory Investigation on Antioxidant Activity of Flavonoids fromAstragalus

In order to investigate the antioxidant activity of flavonoids fromAstragalus,we performed quantum chemical calculations for four flavonoids including calycosin,calycosin-7-glucoside,formononetin,ononin by density functional theory(DFT)B3 LYP method at the 6-31+G**level,and obtained the optimum geometric structures of the four flavonoids and their corresponding free radicals.Moreover,we analyzed the relationship between the structure and antioxidant activity of flavonoids on the basis of the quantum chemical parameters,the bond length of phenolic hydroxyl,the natural bond order(NBO)charges,the bond dissociation energy(BDE)of phenolic hydroxyl,and adiabatic ionization potential(IP).The results show that the sequence of antioxidant activity of the four flavonoids is as follows:calycosin>calycosin-7-glucoside>formononetin>ononin,which is consistent well with the experimental conclusions.Among them,the site of C3′-OH of calycosin is more active than the site of C7-OH.Meanwhile,we investigated the influences of different polar solvents on antioxidant activity.The results indicate that the antioxidant activity decreases with the increasing of solvent polarity in the hydrogen abstraction mechanism.While the antioxidant activity increases with the increasing of solvent polarityin the single electron transfer mechanism.

Study on Methodology of Lentinan by Ultrasonic Extracted and Ultra-filtration

Ultrasonic extraction by water, ultra-filter separation and methodology process of lentinan were studied. The results showed that extraction rate increased, and extraction time, stock-extract ratio, viscosity of extract decreased; then concentration polarization of ultra-filter separation decreased, curing rate increased. Extraction rate of lentinan is 6. 62%, the main indexing are follows:2 h accessory ultrasonic extracted by water, 1 : 15( V : V) stock-extract ratio, 80 W ultrasonic power, 13 min cutting times. In view of economic effectiveness and methodology feasibility that ultrasound can decrease production load and cost.
