Study on the Characteristics of α-Amylase Immobilized on Agar by Embedding

HUANG Ling(Hunan Chemical Industry Professional Technology College,Zhuzhou 412004,China)

Using agar as carrier,α-amylase was immobilized by embedding and the characteristics of immobilized α-amylase were studied.The result showed that the optimum pH value and temperature were 7.5 and 55~58℃ respectively.And the immobilized α-amylase showed good storage stability and reaction stability.18 Days later the remained activity of the immobilized enzyme still reached 71.6%.The activity of α-amylase used repeatedly didn't decrease obviously.And the recovery rate of the immobilized enzyme was 78.8% after used for seven times.

Isolation and Identification of A Lignocellulose-Utilizing Bacterium from the Gut of Apriona Germari

LIU Chen-juan1,CAI Hao1,LI Qing2,YU Zi-niu1(1.State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Microbiology,National Engineering Research Center of MicrobialPesticides,College of Life Science and Technology,Huazhong Agricultural University,Wuhan 430070,China;2.College of Science,Huazhong Agricultural University,Wuhan 430070,China)

A bacterium was isolated from the intestinal tract of Apriona germari which had both of cellulase and lignin enzyme activity.By morphological observation,physiological and biochemical identification,it was identified as Bacillus subtilis.In the fermentation liquid medium of cellulose,the highest activity was 0.51 IU·mL-1.In the lignin fermentation medium,manganese peroxidase(Mnp) and laccase(Lac) activity were 0.1841 IU·mL-1(96 h),0.0633 IU·mL-1(48 h),respectively.And peroxidase activity wasn′t detected.

Preparation of Polystyrene Nano-scale Microspheres by Emulsion Polymerization

MI Yong,ZHAO Yan-sheng,LIU Yong-mei,YAN Feng-wen(College of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering,Taiyuan University of Technology,Taiyuan 030024,China)

The polystyrene microspheres were synthesized by the method of emulsion polymerization using lauryl sodium sulfate as emulsion agent,ammonium persulfate as initiator,styrene as monomer at low water-oil ratio.The effects of emulsion time,reaction temperature,reaction time,the amount of emulsion agent and initiator on conversion of the monomer and molecular weight of polystyrene were discussed.The results showed that conversion of the styrene and molecular weight of polystyrene were affected by changing the amount of emulsion agent and other conditions.At the optimum conditions,conversion of styrene reached 98%,and molecular weight of polystyrene reached 320 000.The results of laser particle size distributing test revealed that the products were monodispersed polystyrene nano-scale microspheres.

Research Progress in Application of Polymeric Micelles in Nanodrug Delivery Systems

SHI Xiongxi;LI Jiang;KUANG Yanting;CHEN Jianming;

Polymeric micelles have unique advantages such as effective solubilization of poorly soluble drugs, small particle size, and simple and diverse preparation methods, which have attracted widespread attention as a novel drug delivery system for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, whereas, the clinical application of polymeric micelles is negligibly available.We introduce various methods for the preparation and characterization of polymeric micelles.Moreover, we review the effectiveness of polymeric micelles in cancer therapy and the clinical application of polymeric micelle preparation.Finally, we point out the challenges faced in the clinical application of polymeric micelles.

Study on Phosphate Ore Flotation by a Anti hard water Collector

Luo Lianming 1,Hua Ping 2 (1 Wuhan Institute of Chemical Engineering,Wuhan 430073; 2 China University of Geoscience [Wuhan],Wuhan 430074)

Using synthetic polyoxyethylene alkyl phosphate ester as collector,the flotation test for apatite and calcite was investigated.Test result showed this collector has better ability in resisting hard water and it was suitable in weakly alkaline medium. The effeciency of separating phosphiteore is higher than that of fatty soap collector and the Na 2CO 3 consumption in the flotation process has fallen off considerably.

Optimization of Submerged Fermentation Medium of Rhodotorula sp.D Producing Carotenoid with Response Surface Methodology

ZHAO Ying1,LUO Xuan2,ZHONG Xiao-ling2,WANG Jin-hua2(1.Assay Centre of Energy Resource Co.,Wuhan Tianhe Air Station,Wuhan 430000,China;2.College of Bioengineering,Hubei University of Technology,Wuhan 430068,China)

The fermentation medium of Rhodotorula sp.D producing carotenoid was optimized by using response surface methodology(RSM).Firstly 20 nutrient factors' effects on the fermentation such as yeast extract,(NH4)2SO4,sucrose were evaluated using Plackett-Burman design.The results indicated that yeast extract,(NH4)2SO4,sucrose were the important factors affecting carotenoid production significantly(P<0.05).Secondly,a 23 central composite design and RSM were applied to determine the optimal concentration of each significant variable.The optimized fermentation medium were described as follows: yeast extract 4.173 g·L-1,(NH4)2SO413.594 g·L-1,sucrose 60.533 g·L-1,MgSO4 0.3 g·L-1,K2HPO4 0.10 g·L-1,lactoflavin 0.004 g·L-1.The maximum production of carotenoid under optimum medium was 15.291 mg·L-1,which was 58.65% higher than that of the original medium.The paper gave an optimal model for fermentation medium of Rhodotorula sp.D producing carotenoid.
