Progress in Production of Fuel Ethanol from Lignocellulosic Materials

The pretreatment technology , enzymatic hydrolysis technology and fermentation technology of production of fuel ethanol from lignocellulosic materials were reviewed and its future prospects were foresighted in this paper.
Research Progress of Bioremediation of Heavy Metal Cadmium Pollution

The Application Prospect of Glutathione and Current Research on Glutathione Production

In this mini-review, the physio gical functions of glutathione and the application prospect of glutathione in the fields of clinics and food add ives were summarized. The emphasis was focused on the progress and problems on glutathione production by enzymatic method and fermentation. In the end, the current research on glutathione production in China was b efly described.

Research Progress in Reaction Mechanism of Evaluation Method for Antioxidant Activity in vitro
ZENG Wenjun;LV Caimeng;DING Jianbao;LI Yanping;MA Jianlong;YANG Rui;YANG Jin;Free radicals such as reactive oxygen species can cause various diseases, so it is particularly important to scavenge free radicals or inhibit the generation of free radicals, that is, to perform antioxidant research.In vitro antioxidant experiment is an important means to evaluate the antioxidant activity, which has guiding significance for the screening and development of antioxidants.In this paper, we classify various evaluation methods for antioxidant activity in vitro according to the reaction mechanism, and review the research progress in reaction mechanism of common evaluation methods(chemical analysis method and cellular antioxidant activity method).Moreover, we put forward the combination of multiple evaluation methods which can help to evaluate antioxidant activity more accurately.
Research Advance on Plant Endophyte

Ammonia Nitrogen Removing in Piggery Wastewater by Chemical Precipitation
MIN Min, HUANG Zhong-mai(Department of Environmental Engineering, Wuhan University, Wuhan 430072, China)Chemical precipitation is applied to treat artificial wastewater with high strength ammonia nitrogen by using Na2HPO4 and MgSO4.The sequence of factors is determined by orthogonal experiment. Then high strength ammonia nitrogen wastewater from piggery is treated by chemical precipitation. The result is that the removal rate of high strength ammonia nitrogen from piggery wastewater is 90% when the ratio of n(Mg)∶n(N) is controlled at 1.2 and the ratio of n(P):n(N) is controlled at 1.02, with the optimal pH for precipitation about 10.0.
Research Progress of L-Theanine

The paper reviews the respects of nature, preparation, extraction and application. Theanine is found to have similar sweetness and an exclusive amino acid of tea. Theanine has been known to play an important role in enhancing the quality of tea and is a characteristic of tea.On the basis of these, the suggestions for its development have been presented.
Application of Genome-Wide Association Study for Important Traits in Plant
