Adsorption Performance of Rutin Magnetic Molecularly Imprinted Polymers

Abstract:

Taking magnetic Fe_3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles as a carrier, rutin as a template, α-methylacrylic acid as a functional monomer, and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate as a crosslinking agent, we prepared rutin magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers(MMIPs),and investigated the adsorption performance of MMIPs.The results show that the adsorption process of rutin by MMIPs conforms to the Langmuir isothermal adsorption model and the pseudo-first-order kinetic equation.The adsorption capacity of rutin by MMIPs is 19.41 mg·g-1,the imprinting factor is 3.51,and the selectivity factors for analogues such as apigenin, luteolin, genistein, and quercetin are 2.77,3.02,2.46,and 2.18,respectively.MMIPs have a certain specific adsorption property for rutin, with a large adsorption capacity, easy desorption, and stable adsorption performance.The study provides a new idea for the separation and purification of rutin from complex systems.
