Recently, the selection results for the 2023 Top 100 Outstanding Papers from Sci-tech Journals in Hubei Province were announced. The paper "Optimization in Extraction Process of Total Flavonoids from Salvia miltiorrhiza and Its Antibacterial Activity" published in the first issue of "Chemistry ＆ Bioengineering" in 2023 was successfully selected(Authors: LONG Xu, WANG Leimeng, GONG Li, lEI Yating, GUO Hui, JIN Ruyi; Author institution: Shaanxi Qinling Research Center of Chinese Herbal Medicine Application and Development Engineering Technology, Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine).

This selection activity, organized by the Hubei Provincial Editology Society for Science Periodicals under the commission of the Hubei Association for Science ＆ Technology, aims to encourage scientific and technological workers to publish high-level outstanding papers—those featuring breakthroughs, significant accomplishments, original innovations, and leading influence at the forefront of science and technology—in the scientific journals of our province. This will continuously enhance the academic influence and core competitiveness of Hubei's scientific journals and contribute to the development of top-tier scientific publications.
